Paddy Crean Art of the Sword Workshop

From IOSP

Jump to: navigation, search
Description: The workshop classes will explore stage combat technique and process, historical fighting technique and styles, contemporary martial arts and movement theory.

Our hope is to create a forum in which to explore the movement art forms of the past and present, and establish a living library to preserve the international body of research that is found in the study of the Art of the Sword.
There will be classes for every level of participant, from novice to highly advanced. Classes will be suitable for: fight directors, choreographers, actors (stage & screen), historical fencers, teachers, martial artists, modern fencers, scholars and historians.
This workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for master teachers, researchers and movement artists to get together and share in the wealth and knowledge that is found in the historical and theatrical fighting techniques from all around the world.
