Description: The theme of this year's workshop will be a celebration of the history and development of Swordplay and Unarmed fighting styles. The workshop will explore classes in historical fighting techniques and styles, stage and film combat techniques and process, contemporary martial arts and movement theory. There will be a focus on how these disciplines have been taught and passed on from teacher to student throughout history. This forum will explore the movement art forms of the part and present and establish a living library to preserve the international body of research that is found in the study of the Art of Stage Combat.

There will be classes for every level of participant, from novice to highly advanced. Classes will be suitable for: fight directors, choreographers, actors (stage & screen), historical fencers, teachers, martial artists, modern fencers, scholars and historians.
This workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for master teachers, researchers and movement artists to get together and share in the wealth and knowledge that is found in the historical and theatrical fighting techniques from all around the world.
